Celluloid Jam Sessions
When Miles Davis’ improvised music for Louis Malle’s ‘Ascenseur Pour L’Echafaud’, he singlehandedly defined what a film-noir soundtrack should sound like. Students of different music and sound design academies will compete for the title of the best soundtrack for a short film. Five existing short films in various genres, varying in length from 2 to 5 minutes, will be stripped from their soundtracks, and will be the basis for this challenge.
